These nutrients in Wagyu tallow work together to support heart health, reduce inflammation, improve cognitive function, and promote hormone balance.
Vitamins A, D, E, and K in Wagyu tallow are essential for strong immunity, bone health, skin vitality, and vision. Unlike heavily processed seed oils, tallow is stable at high heat and free from harmful compounds, making it a cleaner and more ancestral source of energy your body can recognize and use efficiently. Regular use of high-quality tallow can contribute to better metabolic health, steadier energy levels, and overall wellness.
How should I store my tallow?
Store in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed. For longer shelf life or in warmer climates, refrigeration is recommended. Avoid moisture or cross-contamination.
Tallow naturally resists spoilage thanks to its stable fat composition. Store at room temperature for a smoother consistency that is easier to scoop.
Tip: Always use a dry, clean utensil to scoop out the tallow to prevent contamination and spoilage.
What is the shelf life?
Unopened jars can last up to 24 months from production date in a cool pantry. Once opened, we recommend using it within 12 months for optimum freshness. Refrigeration can extend shelf life from 18 months up to 24 months.
Is oil separation normal in Wagyu beef tallow?
Yes, it’s completely normal and expected. Wagyu beef tallow in particular is higher in healthy monounsaturated fats, which can cause natural oil separation or a soft, runny texture. Just stir it gently with a clean, dry utensil to blend the layers. In warmer climates, it may become more liquid. You can use it as-is for easier scooping or refrigerate to firm it up.
Can I use Wagyu tallow for high heat cooking?
Absolutely. This is where tallow excels at. Wagyu tallow has a very high smoke point (~420°F), making it ideal for searing, frying, roasting, and sautéing without breaking down or burning. It handles heat better than most cooking oils.
